A pointillist painting I made in College, using a photo of my Troodon model as my reference. The species name is fictional, combing the latin roots "aurum" (gold) and "rusticanus" (of the country). Thus, the full name, "Wounding tooth of the Gold Country", refers to the fact that the original photograph and the model it features hail from Nevada County; sometimes referred to as part of "Gold Country."
